I now have a short list of necessary improvement to make my R3T a true touring beast. I need an air horn & a custom seat. I've just added the BrakeAway Throttle lock & a taller Triumph windscreen. $209 for the windscreen, $200 for the throttle lock. Both are well worth the money. I can look barely over the windscreen and I'm 5'10"-5'11" depending on the haircut. :)

The BrakeAway cruise does not completely lock the throttle. If I lift my hand there's a slow, very slow, movement down in speed. You can easily increase your speed without disengaging the lock. It's a pushbutton release or just touch the front brake lever to disengage the gadget. It's not a real cruise control as I had on my BMWs but it's close enough & releases a ton of hand strain.

Notice I kept the Crampbuster for in town riding. I still have the heated grips and I have very large hands. No problems.

Hey Bob,

for the horn you will really want to consider the Stebel Nautilus. It's inexensive and LOUD!!! The normal installation on a Std Roc is under the left side cover but I don't know if there is an open space there on the R3T. You can find well documented installations here or on the other site (.com).

btw, I just got off the phone with one of my vendors down in Corvallis (sp?) and they were talking about the snow down to 1000ft this morning. Where's spring?

Here's what I've done to mine:

- Roadster (taller) screen ($210)
- Rivco risers ($180)
- Solo seat with adjustable rider backrest ($425)
- Windshield bag ($50)
- Cramp Buster ($10)

There was snow at 1,000 feet. The next four days are supposed to be dry and climbing to a high of 78 Monday, moving day for me to my new apartment. :)

I have the same two things on my grips Bob. Works great.

I have a Clearview 19 inch screen on order, due Thursday. That should be more helpful blocking the wind.

I have the Stebel horn mounted under the left side cover. Easy install and I've used it on other bikes. It's very loud.

You might consider getting the auxiliary lights for the front of your Touring. They give a much improved view of the road and they're good for increasing your visibility to the cagers.

Do you know the cheapest place to get the Stebel horn you mentioned? My Triumph windscreen is 23", 7" higher than the standard 16" than comes with the bike.

Breakaway products.com is where you an get them I have one one my shadow ace tourer and it locks the throttle tight Im sure its adjustable it should hold the throttle tight. whoever on my rocket I have a throttlemiester throttle lock I like it better cuz I can keep a little tension on the throttle that way it isnt so touchy.
