Dude use the ones out of your wheel when you change it over the cushion drive pulls out easy its only one retainer ring and well pulling the disc is simple also.
Just saying Save yourself some money and buy some mud bugs
Hey Nolton you are doing the same as me, I to have second rim (Thanks to @Micksan) which will have a car tyre on it for the longer trips as I have now done over 7500 km's on the Bridgestone Exedra Max and like it for the shorter trips up to Canberra or day-rides which have lots of twisty bits, I don't like the flat spot you get when on long trips along motorways/freeways and it showed a couple of shortcomings (loss of traction) while towing the camper down to Tassie earlier this year.
I am just going to change over the disk and cush rubber plus the driven gear unit (as it all comes out in about 5 seconds you just take out the large circlip) so as not to upset the wear pattern on these parts the disk is bedded in with the existing pads so you may upset the rear break performance unless you are also going to change over your pads each time and the driven gear wear will be matched to the drive gear coming out of diff, That my logic in keeping everything safe and harmonious in regards to wear and the life of the parts.
If I am wrong I am sure someone will pipe up
Me thinks this is the perfect solution for semi-dark siders.
I did this with an extra rear wheel for my V2K. After a few hundred miles, I just couldn't compromise and "settle in" with the CT, so I gave the set up to a good friend with two V2Ks.
