After fitting the rear dresser bars and Leather Bags, my wife barely has any room to put her feet on the rear pegs.
The long pipes get really hot too and there is barely any clearance, so if her foot dangles off just slightly, it's free tattoo time!
Anyone know if rear foot-boards would fit on the roadster, and has anyone already done this ? If you are not sure, please don't guess

Post of pic of the peg mount and I'll take a look at my Rivco board set.

Seems like that's one issue that wasn't addressed with the Roadster.

I know you said not to guess, but I'm not sure how many if any have even tried this yet. I have a Roadster and I've researched a lot about it. If I am correct in hearing from another forum... won't mention it's name, I might get some flack... The rear pegs are moved 8mm one way or another. No info on which way. I got this info from someone that tried to mount the Jardine system up and it didn't fit due to the rear peg mount and the addition of the ABS box that is in the way under the bike.

Hope that at least helps. It lets you know that there is reason for concern because it is noticeably different. Less than one cm is not much, but it may be critical to that one part. I have no further advice on the subject.

I don't have the first clue. But, it is good to see another Tiger rider. I'm slowly but surely converting all of the Rocket owners on this site.

Mwhahahahahhahahaha!

Pictures - not sure they help much.

dont hijack my thread!

Hey Vink,
Thanks for not guessing :) I'm pretty sure you have good advice to give, though.
Daryl,
I'm not trying to convert anyone - Got the Tiger new in '03 and still love it - I did not trade it for the Roadster. They are totally different animals (pun intended), satisfying at least 2 of my multiple personalities. (Dr. Comfort and Mr. Ride - idea stolen from when I had a Lincoln Town car).
This forum has been a great source of info, so here's hoping there is a simple solution that includes the wife still being on the back.

Looks like the Rivco kit with the extension arms will do the job. They have a small spacer that allow the extension arms to clear the covers and relocate the boards 4 in forward.

Cool - I was looking at them and have emailed them some questions - they don't list as compatible with the Roadster, but I don't see why they would not fit.
Here is a related question, If I fit them with the extension arms - I assume they attach with a single bolt through where the original pegs are installed. (based on the rivco web page installation instructions)

Will the weight of a passenger stepping on the left one to swing a leg over not *possibly* loosen the single bolt holding the arm on place (where the original footpeg was) ? The Right-had ones should be no problem as that would be same as tightening the bolt more, but on the left side that would be like loosening the bolt. I do not want the footboard to loosen and ding the pipes on the side.

DO you actually have these fitted on your bike ? Is one screw enough to secure them?

Yes, I do have them on my bike. For over 2 years now.

Surrounding the bolt are a couple of pins that can be inserted at different positions allowing you to vary the angle. These pins keep the arm from rotating.
