Bit far out, But would like to be at the RDU, will know closer to the time

Mike our plan is to truck my Rocket across the Nullarbor, jump a plane and pick it up in Adelaide. Then ride the GOR to wherever RDU is being held. Then Tassie and truck it back to Perth or Albany. Kind of hoping I can get a couple of the other West Australian owners to join me ..like you said down the track a bit but that's the plan.

I'm thinking about heading up the east coast when we are done in Tassie. Maybe head up and see Hervey Bay? Who knows...a bit far out as you say, but since this probably won't be an every year occurrence for me I want to make the most of it while I'm there.

Probably best to bring all your favourite t-shirts , your toolbox ..and your chaps too I guess. Good chance you won't want to go home mate .. hard place to leave.

A suggestion Tex....... Why not bring the bike into Brisbane, go up to HB then ride to Melbourne with a group of R3's from Queensland. I mention this because I think some of us wont be able to do the extra Tassie trip (I don't know about any of it yet) you may be riding from Melbourne to HB on your own.... Just a thought.....

Sounds like a good idea to me. Matters not whether I go up the coast or down the coast I don't suppose as long as we get to see some of the countryside. Probably end up doing some miles on my own either way unless I export the bike from a different port, which I'm sure is infinitely possible

I'm a starter for both rdu and Tassie (along with Mrs hunt). We're planning to return in reverse order. If the GOR is good when you're heading towards Melbourne, imagine how good it must be when know you're getting further away

Good stuff Hunty .. the company we're using to bring our goods and shackles over to Albany have done us a great price .. and offered free storage till I can get over there myself. Definitely worth considering them to get your bike East .. if riding the Nullarbor ain't on your plans.

I have driven the GOR a couple of times (yet to do it on a bike), and yes it's great

We should start a separate thread for those of us who want to ship our bikes to Adelaide, might get some good discounts if there are a few of us. I'm up for it. My wife has been on at me for years to take her to Tassie, perfect opportunity!
