Plan on leaving Adelaide on the 15th .. going via Victor Harbour (hoping to visit Neville Lush) and overnight somewhere around Mt Gambier. Day 2 we'll be able to take our time and enjoy the sights and attractions along the GOR . Dependant on the others travelling with me agreeing to it of course. Be great to have you join us , are you going to be able to come to Tassie with us mate ?

Dave, I'm most likely heading across through Wagga Wagga, Naranderra, Hay, Balranald, Ouyen, Talem Bend, Murray Bridge (about 1,100km). It's almost exactly the same distance to Mount Gambier - go figure! - so no point going straight there unless I need to save a day.

Plan A would be to leave Canberra early on the 14th and get as far as I can, then a short hop on the 15th to meet TC and Hunty after their stop at Lushy's (although I'd dearly love to drop in there myself). Plan B would be to leave on the 13th and stop at/near Balranald, then to Murray Bridge or Adelaide or Victor Harbour on the 14th. Would be good to hear from any northerners interested in joining me and we can agree on a Plan C.

You may be best talking to @Malcy about his intentions and riding across with him. I might decide to dip further south and join up if Malcy was going through Bendigo or Horsham/Nhill - only adds about 150km for me but is a bit out of his way - so most likely do Plan A or B (or C) above.

No can't do Tassie it was hard enough getting time off to do this long weekend and a bit , i will see what some of the others are doing but if they are not going a suitable way for me i might try and meet you guys in Mt gambia or so . I can do a couple of routes to get there , plenty of time to work the ride out yet . But will be there for sure .

Like that we'll get to do a bit of riding together .. pity you can't make Tassie but life demands responsibility sometimes .. but it still sucks though.

Ok seeing as people have had trouble going back through this thread looking for info in regards to RDU i have setup a facebook page , you can post up pics and write on the wall there, but more importantly if you click on "About" there are link there for Accomodation , Trip planning and an online calendar , anything else you think needs to be placed on the permanent info part of the page let me know
Wrecka

Looks like there is no way I could do Tassie cant get the extra few day leave it would require seems that someone else at work has grabbed them

Just booked for the Friday and Saturday nights in a cabin , not sure if the missus is coming yet . I will be trying to meet up with TC and others on their way from SA around Mt Gambia for the trip back along the GOR .

Thanks Wrecka but a lot of us don't 'do' Facebook .... maybe just leave it on here so we all get the info and know what's going on .. just my thoughts.
All good mate not trying to tread on the toes of anyone not into facebook, just giving the ones that do an option to get info without going back through 45 pages of posts

Haha got you confused with Hanso , he's the one at Batemans Be great if the group leaving from up this way can pick up other riders on the way down, scare the bejesus outta them when we roll into Torquay
