G'day Hoppa ..be a few of us be doing a quick lap of Tassie after RDU ... welcome to join us if 'life' allows. Probably need to get cracking on a thread for Tassie .. me and Hunty working on cheapest way to get our bikes over to Adelaide .. seems there's a loophole (***cin love loopholes) that you can put bikes on the train as long as they are on a trailer.

Cheapest way is to ride it mate. Trucking them you need a bike pallet and will cost 3 or 4 hundy each.

Cheers, sounds good, will check out the thread once posted for dates, duration etc. See if it works in with my other life - Working

Currently working on acquiring another trailer that could be modified to carry 2 more Rockets....speak up if you are interested...

When you factor in the 2 boring days droning across the Nullabor .. $140 a night for a dirty crappy donga , food and fuel that's twice the price of anywhere else .. riding may not be the cheapest or smartest way to get to Adelaide.

And 2 more days droning back across the Nullabor to get home ,at least us Northern blokes have a decent road down to Melbourne

I hear you Kel .. things work out I hope to be dropping my bike at Lushy's after RDU/Tassie .. so trailer will be handy .. just exploring options at the moment mate.

I'd seriously consider riding if I had enough time off but sadly that's not the case, factor in the lost wages and its definitely cheaper to fly and freight imo

And I only just noticed I'm supposed to have started a new thread for the Tassie trip.
OK Anth, but you're still in charge of organising it all.
