It's that bloody cold up here at the moment I'm thinkin about puttin my winter screen back on the bike for the trip down south next week I'm hopin it might reflect some of the cold away from me .as I haven't had it on the bike for five years I cant remember what it was like when I had it on for the one and only day it was on the bike
Pete that is probably a Good Idea to put the screen on I went up to Canberra (with only the flyscreen on) Thursday to pick up some headlight extension rims (for the LED J W Speaker inserts) and near froze to death once I got over the Clyde and headed inland. so make sure you wear some warm gear on the trip, strangely enough on paper it was only 5 degree's difference but the wind chill inland probably another 10 degree's I kid you not.
I used the trip to also catch up and have a chat with Richard to try and resolve the disagreement between us and while there are issues that we will never agree on we agreed to try put the crap behind us and get on with life.
Also Had a new Michelin Commander II in 140/75/17 fitted as the Cobra was just about worn out and gave me an excuse to be hanging around so I could talk to Richard.
I scrubbed the tyre in as much as possible between Canberra and the Clyde and then the fun started, anyone out there that likes to carve the twisty stuff will love the Commander II as it's feed back inspires confidence in the front end like no other tyre I have had on there.
What's the mitchelin like as I have to fit a new tyre . I may do it in Canberra also .where is the triuph shop there please . I'm glad ya started sortin the crap out ,as far as the weather goes I might just take an extra day off work and ride down in the sunshine as its to cold when the suns not out

wouldn't bother going to the triumph shop "Joe's" where Richard works would be your best bet, just check with Richard that they have one in stock but pretty certain they will, they carry a big range of tyres and thou I got the last one he had, I am sure they would already have a replacement on the way, all the same give him a couple of days notice to be sure and yes it will liven up the front end, the extra gap under front guard grows on you fairly quickly and I don't think I'll bother lowering the guard Oh and "Joe's" is in Collie Street, Fyshwick
All booked in now! Also spent the arvo fitting a sissy bar and rack to carry luggage. Not sure if I fitted it correctly or not but I guess you blokes will tell me.
I'll be riding down with DV8 Pete with my other half on her Bonnie.
See yas there Saturday.
Anyone who thinks they might need tyres while down/up/over this way should let me know what they want ASAP and I'll make sure they're available by the weekend. If you need them Friday, let me know no later than Wednesday morning to be safe.
Peter, your Commander II is on its way and there's an Avon there in case.
