Raboconda Tire Changer for 240 rear wheel?

I also keep forgetting over half of you guys here are about twice my age or getting close to it. I'm at the end of my 30s and my knees can't take much more.
Whatever makes you happy in the garage and keeps you motoring on I support 100%
Just keep a tube of bengay next to your tool box
 
There are many a Roadster and Classic rider who would love to see that video- just tire irons on the rear. It would be wildly popular.

The 2.5s are easier.
 
Finally found an old picture of how i did it on my escape. I had to change the valve stems because of sever corrosion where they seat. Same setup for a motorcycle but drive the car up a ramp that goes down into some 2x4s. you get the point.

That’s certainly one way. A bit dangerous for the unskilled and risks an expensive wheel. Seems like the time for the setup, would be just as much time to set up the Rabaconda or the NoMar tire machines.

Definitely. But this one is free now and take up no space. The picture here is easy as it's just a floor jack. It's surprisingly effective and safe the other way as the 2x6 can be 6 foot long ramp. I would suggest a moving blanket or rubber mat under though.

I have those.
You are not taking off a tire bead with them. Not most tires anyways. I have 6 sets of spoons and what not.
The only way I have been able to take off a tubeless tire is with brute force like in the picture or just hammering a prybar in behind the bead. I can take off the front tire with those but not the rear 240.
 
That's what I use them for- breaking the bead, but not removing the tire from the rim.


Using just those tools was my first attempt at a complete rear tire change with a Roadster, that was a long frustrating sweaty NEAR success. Near.

Looking forward to your video removing the rear tire on a Roadster or Classic with just tire irons of any kind. Breaking the bead, however, can be done with just those two Motion Pro tools.
