R3T Top speed

Yeah, but if you are a "good" sized guy like me and you took the wind (barn door) shield off....you become the "barn door"...not sure if it would make much difference...unless you are really hunched over that gas tank.

i did not know our tires are rated for 130.

will have to push it once to see how she does.

have to try it this weekend.

i went out for a hi speed run yesterday and hit 125 in 4th gear.

i dont know if that is the top for a R3T or not.

will try 5th at another time.

word of warning... parts fly off at that speed.

Yep Daffy you are right about the parts when I left the launched mine as I hit a rise in the road the left fog light bracket broke as the bike landed of course it is a pretty good hit when your doing 130 mph thank god the wires were strong or I would of had to buy the light and all instead of just the brackets.

Anyway you can go above the speed rating of the tire as was stated above so long as its not for miles. The heat build up is what will hurt the tire.
took the wind screen and hard bags off my classic and run her up a bit above the speed rating
doing some high speed A/F test on my Classic I had plenty of throttle left but opted to slow down and slowly work up to a top speed. Two lane farm country roads are not the best and have a lot of critters that can step in front of you

Anyway I am not saying I have the fastest rocket in the land but I do not know if anyone has ran theirs as fast Naked.

Here is the GPS max speed. Now I now it is not a time slip but then GPS reads speed and is not like at a race track were you pass thru two traps that eaverage you speed.
Anyway I am not into LSR **** as you have to screw your bike up so much you can't ride it on the road or you have to by a LSR body which will make it look like a busa or some other Jap bike.

I will be working my way towards 200 MPH slowly I might add as I am not in a hurry to jump in a grave

You're a much braver man than I. The thought of flying down the road collecting all those bugs at that speed, while naked, is truly insane. I mean, didn't you even consider a codpiece???

Harry I do not know what a cod piece is but I killed a hell of alot of bugs in that Mile run I did have a Shark helmet on and fully closed for the run. I should not have shut her down as she was trcking a perfect stright line. I have noticed that with the full windscreen it is hit or mis above 140 the wrong wind against the shield and the death wobble takes over and I have to shut her down. I also should have took the back rest off her for less wind resistance. I will be watch the winds to see when I can run her up again. I found a fairly good 1 mile straight Farm road with a 1/2 mile shut down area before you need to be under 100 mph going over the rise or the beastie leaves the ground. If memory serves me right my older brother Joker has hit 167 with his fly screen on his. The adrenalin is amazing at them speeds Have not felt that rush since IMFASTTOO took me to the Atco Grudge drag races ( first time ever drag racing at a strip) in July. He was gracious enough to teach me some things since he was a drag racer in his time. I still have a bucket full to learn though for sure. But none the less it was a fun time. I only made 8 passed but beat every bike to include a busa, ZX-14, GXR1000, and sent a Hardley V-rod dude home after whiing his ass all the way down the strip. I can't wait to be more proficient at it. Plus I got to stop at Carpenter Racing to see how my head and cam project was coming. All in all a nice end to the Dragon salvo.
