R3T seat help

2011 Triumph Rocket III touring
My 2011 R3T has rips on the drivers seat. I don't want to spend a ton and the back seat and both back rests are fine. Its $650 to cover everything to match. An upholster told me to buy a skin just for the front seat and he can install it for $100. Where do you find a skin? Is the R3R front seat the same as the R3T?
 
Keep watching the classifieds here on the forum, you may find a replacement saddle at a great price. On another note, I wouldn’t try to find a cheap skin to cover but rather save a few bucks and send it off to a place like Russle day long. It may cost a little but in the long run you’ll have a saddle that is very comfortable. you can even check the Corbin web site... $650 is a little steap just to recover.

I would try a car upholstery shop, remove what you have and replace with black leather, much more comfy than vynal.
 
$650 is outrageous, my car upholstery guy recovered my side car seat, basically a chair, for $150
 
Hello Enduroxt and welcome from a displaced Texan in Virginia. Have you solved your seat issue yet? I ride with a large BeadRider on my bike especially in the hot months to stay dry on those long rides. It won't fix the rips you have now but is a nice bit of kit for your new cover or seat.

By the way, did you come by your handle riding Enduros bikes? My first two bike were OSSA 250 enduros, love that kind of dirt riding...
 
Boog, thanks for reaching out. I was able to buy a new seat. I have been an Enduro lover and owner for many years. Love them.
 
I found a new front and rear seat brand new at a dealer in Dallas, TX for $135. If you need one call Triumph motorcycles of North Dallas. (972) 881-1254. I couldn't believe the price but it is installed and looks great.
 
@Boog I'm interested in the Bead Rider -- and poking around on the site, not clear to me how to obtain them conforming to odd seat sizes.

Using their measurement directions, I have 10" deep x 17" wide for captain, and 11" deep and 12" wide for pillion.

What do you advise ?
