A few of us may recall that Brent from TLC Products was putting together some saddlebag liners for our bikes last year.

I received a message from him recently (like some of you probably have) and ordered the pair. About $50 a set delivered. They look good on the website so I'll let you know once I receive them.

Here's the message: "The photos are not correct yet but the product is ready, looks great and fits perfectly."

Seems like a reasonably priced item...it's a shame they used a Harley hard bag picture for the advertisement. And I didn't know that there are some available as OEM items(?).

I ordered some too, and they came today.

Not at all the size I was expecting, they are much smaller than the R3T saddle bag and as such probably won't meet my needs. I want to use them to pack more efficiently to better use the limited and odd space that the R3T bags provide. And as such these liner bags are too small and end up actually wasting space in my opinion.

I'm afraid you're right. I'm working with Brent on what went wrong. He asked me to stuff them full of towels and see how they work. I tried that, but they're really way too small. It's not so much the width, but the length. The liners are about 6 inches too short and leave way too much room in the saddlebag. I mean, they're like 75% of the size required to fill the saddlebags.

I reported that to him. He said he'd make it right, and he may have to re-do them.

Too bad, because they're well-made and look good.

Ah, we'll see...

I agree. The length is completely unacceptable.

Not as important as the length, I would personally like them to be an inch or two taller to better make available the space in the lid, but TLCProducts has concerns about the latch clearance. I can always pack things under the liner to get those couple inches when I need it.

The shape of the bag is good, and the construction is nice as well.

I would add length (mine was over three inches too short), one inch in height (almost three could be added but one would still being cautious of the latch), and one inch in width. That would make the liners just about maximum capacity.

Lets see what they do.

I got mine yesterday and you are right they are too small. They look to be made well tho.

Don't think I will be keeping them and I will contact TLC to see if they will be making a larger set. If not, I'll get a refund.

TLC liners will be replaced with larger ones.

Talked with a woman at TLC today, didn't get her name.

She said that there was a mistake made in the design of the bags for the R3T and they were going for a re-design.

She said that all the people that ordered the small one would get a free set of the new larger ones! Just need to wait a week or so.

She took my name, put it on the list and asked me to post on the forum about the new design and the replacements. So I did.

They seem to care about their customers so I will wait to see what shows up! :)

I would like to have the smaller set if the price is right. I know, I'm a cheap skate but I think it would be good for a water bottle or gloves and so on. If anyone wants to go half way just say so.

Very nice!!! I am interested in ordering.....should I order now and get the 'deal' or wait! :D
They probably do not sell them until the new ones arrive I would imagine
