Does anyone know what the silver bracket just to the right of the three electrical connections and about the unused plug is used for? It is an extension of the mount for those three connections. If its not needed I'd like to hack it off to fit my Stebel horn. The pic is under the left side cover.

Thanks

Got the same thing on my Classic; used it to strap my Starcom to. I'm guessing it's for Triumph accessories.

The extra bracket spaces are for expansion of accessories like BG said. Won't hurt anything if you want to hack it.

I don't know what the plug is for but my guess is the Triumph accessory alarm.

Thanks guys. I was able to squeeze the Stebel in just below the bracket, and actually used the bracket to mount the relay. I now have a manly horn....

post a picture

GPM,
post a picture of your install. I have the same problem....
just curious of how it fits and looks...
TIA,

Jim

Here ya go. You can see the relay just above the horn on the right. Also had enough room to shove the small audio combiner for my radar detector and GPS and the excess cable in next to the horn.

Thanks Harry! I have been trying to figure out how to mount a air horn. I replace the stock one with a louder one.... but it isn't what I was really looking for. I have heard the Stebel, and now I think that I will move forward.
I am electrically challenged.... what am I looking at to wire up a relay, or should I have someone do it for me?
D.

Here's where I bought mine. If you spend the extra $10 for the wiring kit it really is pretty idiot proof. You disconnect the stock horn (don't even have to remove it if you don't want) connect the wires, run them back to the mounting area and hook them to the relay harness. The hardest part for me was holding the horn in place to mark the spot to drill a hole in the air box for mounting. If you run into any problems let me know and I'll be happy to help you out.

O.K. My friend, I am taking your word for it.... I just placed my order for the horn. I will give you a heads up if I run into any problems.
Thanks,
D.

Harry,
What did you do with this cylinder thing? And BTW what the heck is it??
