We lost Crazy Larry ten years ago today.. I met Indian Larry and Billy Lane at the Boston Bike Show awhile back. Sad what fate lie in store for them....:(

Thanks .i really enjoyed the video .the draw was a good result made by India Larry .it was just a shame that Indian Larrys tactic of standing up on his bike cost him his life .i have watched several videos of him building bikes .i think the most unusual bike was the bike frame he made out of a length of chain. A very talented man who's life was cut way to short

A video worth seeing once again after all the years.
Great sportsmanship between two talented builders of
Totally impractical motors.
Thanks.

I was still a teenager dreaming of motorcycles and having nightmares of history tests when this happened, I am full of regret that I missed seeing these masters of an art.

Frankly, the fact that Indian Larry would almost certainly have been fine if he had worn even the barest of brain buckets annoys me more than anything else. He had a ton of great creativity left to use. But everyone makes their own choices in life...

I think Billy Lane is out of jail or getting out very shortly. He even built a bike in there the other year, an Air Force tribute bike. I think his fate was the more tragic of the two, self-destructing over booze and killing a biker; I watch the Biker Build-Off-videos I have stockpiled on occasion and he seemed like a good guy, very smart and capable and deserving of his success. Too bad he went so sideways.

Hoping he'll find a way to recover and to walk the straight and narrow, he too has a lot of great bike builds left in him and two-wheel art to do.

I wish Discovery would just re-release the DVD's for Biker Build-Off in some decent quality, or better yet Blu-rays. I'd buy the series no questions asked. It's still relevant stuff.

I met Indian Larry once in Daytona during Bike Week. Very approachable guy. Not stuck up like the father/son duo. Also rode a few blocks with that Russell character from Exile cycles. Or was I stalking him..........:sneaky:
