Quebec motorcyclest caught doing 185 kph

Here in BC Canada they hit you with major fines and points (takes years to clear off you license and cost big bucks) but they will keep your bike/car good luck getting it back.
How ever the first few weeks I owned my rocket I was flying all over the place in my own little world. Thought **** this is awesome but noticed I was passing everything. I decided to put on my reading glasses and have a closer look at my speedometer and saw it was in MPH not KPH opps.

I have buried the speedometer several times mostly on the prairies, deer and the other wild life be ****ed.

In Ontario we have the "Stunting" law. If you are caught speeding 50kph over the limit, on any limit, you are fined $5000, roadside suspension of your license and they tow your vehicle away. You will literally be screwed for yars and years and years. I NEVER speed excessively in fear of getting caught.

My wife was pulled over while driving on the highway. The officer had been following her for some time and she had stuck to the speed limit. When she asked the officer why, he said she was driving too slow (speed limit was 80kph).

He asked her why she was driving the speed limit? Her response......"cause you were following me!"

Duuhh!!!

If they wanted me to keep my speed down tbey should not have installed a Speedo that goes into triple digits!

That's funny, my 1983 Suzuki GS1100E had a speedo that top out at 85mph. It was supposed to save gas.

I was pulled over by a Highway Patrol car that was waiting for me, and a few minutes later this motor cop on a Harley comes puttin up. I guess I blasted onto the 101 freeway near San Jose in front of him, slid across to the far left lane and started wringing out the gears. He asked if I knew how fast I was going and I said 85 as far as I could tell. He looked at my speedo and just shook his head. He said he was doing all of 105 on his Harley and I was walking away from him. We chatted a while and when he figured he had wasted enough of my time he gave me a ticket for 65 in a 55, it cost me $36.50. I was happy to pay that fine.

So, that 2 digit speedo theory doesn't hold water. I wish I still had that bike, it was one fun UJM.

A Harley going 105?
I think the cop was to embarrassed to say how slow he was actually going.
