I've fitted my nice new shiny springs, went for the heavy duty type as recomended by the Progressive tech (I weigh 225) and they are set at the their softest.
I feels a bit smoother over the rough patches and its tighter in the corners, but there is no massive difference noticed. I think the telling time will be what my pillion feels and if she gives the thumbs up it will have been worth it. (I'm glad I only paid the US$ price though, would have been very different if I had shelled out in UK£'s)
I guess I would have noticed more difference if I had gone for the standard spring and set it firmer, but I would have run out of travel with my pillion.
BTW if you are considering fitting some make sure you support the bike before taking one of the standard parts off, as it will sink about 3 inches and you need to be very big and strong to lift it while pushing the new one back into place!
Does anyone one no a good osteopath?
