I've fitted my nice new shiny springs, went for the heavy duty type as recomended by the Progressive tech (I weigh 225) and they are set at the their softest.

I feels a bit smoother over the rough patches and its tighter in the corners, but there is no massive difference noticed. I think the telling time will be what my pillion feels and if she gives the thumbs up it will have been worth it. (I'm glad I only paid the US$ price though, would have been very different if I had shelled out in UK£'s)

I guess I would have noticed more difference if I had gone for the standard spring and set it firmer, but I would have run out of travel with my pillion.

BTW if you are considering fitting some make sure you support the bike before taking one of the standard parts off, as it will sink about 3 inches and you need to be very big and strong to lift it while pushing the new one back into place!

Does anyone one no a good osteopath?

Hi

I'm about your weight and 6'4"
I've considered new shocks but I'm gonna stick with the stock ones.
I'm not under the impression that they are no good but can imagine them to be to hard for the lighter captains.

I'm thinking of getting them :? , I'm a lot heavier than you and 6ft3  ... although I do have to say I haven't noticed the rear end so much recently, but then again as it is winter haven't been pushing her as hard as I would on better roads :( .... may take a closer look in the spring when the weather is better :) ... Think I'll buy a Cordin saddle 1st 8) .... KC how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? :?

I bought them online from the states and had them delivered to a stateside address from where they came to the UK in a pals suitcase and I topped up at £239.00

Thats what I thought, as there seemed to be quite a varied point of view as to their actual worth and my main aim was to improve my pillions ride it wouldn't matter too much if the benifit to me was that significant.

I would gain more from the lack of ear ache!
