Poor battery I hope!

To me, those look like add-on small boards that connect to your original foot peg mount. Perhaps just remove them and install the original pegs?
 

Just today I replaced my Yuasa battery with a brand new one. I get 2 maybe 3 years out of each battery. Be sure to get the 1 with 310 cranking amps. I believe it's marked with an "HD".

Yes that’s exactly the case. I have no idea how a guy could shift with those big boards going all the way up to the shifter peg! That’s probably why the owner sold it with 250 miles on it! Lol
 
Angle of those boards is adjustable. Loosen the allen head mounting bolt enough to rotate on the spline.
 
I did not wish to bad-mouth them, BUT . . . .
