I read that 4k rpms is peak horsepower on these new bikes. What am I missing? Mine pulls hard up to 6k in every gear.. if I change gears at 4k, my Honda shadow 1100 would beat me. I must not understand the statement. Explain please to put me out of misery.

I think 4000 RPM is peak torque. Peak HP is somewhere around 6700 RPM.
OK. So maybe I don't understand torque. Thought "pull" was torque, throwing you back. Mine still doing that at up to 6k? Leaving torque on the table if switch gears at 4k rpm, no?

If u shift at 4000 then u lose the advantage of the gearing plus u will probably lose the advantage of one gear shift.
If i am in 2nd and another bike is in third i will be pulling away.from them

So this is my Dyno chart before and after a tune i put in.....youll see the Torque and the HP...The torque was peaking at that 4000 mark but now peaks way higher..around 6500

The stock rev limiter is 7000. How could you not hit the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd on a Rocket? It does have traction control.

Got to understand the difference between torque and power: When you get hit, torque is how hard you get smashed. Horsepower is that you did not see the fist coming.
