Painted front Rim

My front rim on my r3t had corrosion and did not look good. I scrubbed it up but still was not happy so today I painted it. Not a perfect job but for elbow grease and a can of spray paint not bad. We will see how it holds up. Getting the brake rotors off was a pia. Had to use a torch to heat the bolts up. Now you do not really notice the rim at all because it is black. I did think about a cream color.

Mmmm, dunno mate, there's something about a highly polished rim??? Strokes for folks of course. But yes, once the coating comes off it's a labour of love, and not really practical for a daily driver.

If this paint stays reasonable looking it will be a long time before I do anything to it again.

Actually they are much easier to clean now that they are polished. I do coat them with a nano-ceramic to aid maintenance which is very hydrophobic.

Heck I don't know. It's been back on the bike for four years now with no issues that I know of.
