My '09 R3T with 50k miles has recently started over heating, or, at least activating the hi-temp indicator on the instrument display...cool weather so far here in Austin Texas, 90F tops.....problem only evident at slower speeds or in stop/go traffic....coolant tank is full, so I'm thinking water pump....anybody got any other suggestions what it might be, before I start taking things apart....?

...some T/S and I looks like fan is not coming on....gotta find a connection and see if there is power getting to the fan, or dead fan....or possibly a bad temp-sensor...

...blown fan fuse.... ....now, with 3 instances of overheated engine, oil change and coolant flush....

thanx...

Check fan with tune ecu, for testing swap fan relay ( no fuse for fan) with either of the 2 4 pin relay, has the coolant been changed as depending on whats in there could be ugly. Fan is probably working or youd be out of service quick, water pump is driven if its not leaking probably not that. If i was satisfied with my coolant being good and not bad gunked up which some of the stuff does, i see you said coolant flush 👍and i verified fan working as should i would manually check temp bike idleing watching heat at thermostat and watching fan turn on and off with thermostat heat rise 190ish fan comes on and you will watch temp climb to 200ish and fall below 190ish and fan will cut off. You will know problem by this time.
