Options for rear trunk for R3T

Hey all, I want to put a rear trunk on my 2013 R3T, any suggestions or opinions for this, I do want a hard case, and one I can paint to match the bike.

Corbin makes one, pretty pricey but is supposed to be able to hold two helmets. They will paint to match factory paint job (one color or two tone, they did a great job on the two tone paint job on my beetle bags for my 2007 Rocket III Classic) and I believe it comes with a frame to support the trunk.

Yeah I looked at the Corbin one they make for the Touring, I thought it looked good and I would make my own brackets to suit my Std but price was a bit if'y and then I came across a MBK (subsidiary of Givi) box meant as an Yamaha option it had Yamaha and MBK badges in side, I found it at a Richards place of work "Joes Motorcycles" who is a Yamaha dealer it had a remove able skin so was easy to to paint and has a rear facing reflector that is made so a LED strip easily sticks in on its backing to use as an additional Brake light, it hold a XL full face helmet with ease but probably not quite big enough for two. I mounted a Classic sissy bar pad to the top box by cutting a piece of marine ply to size a of the correct thickness to fill the recess in the back of the pad.

If you get some "lugs" made up you can use these in place of the sissy bar and still mount the luggage rack. You can then mount any trunk you want (I have a cheap Givi style hard plastic one) and paint it to match. For lugs you are effectively getting made up the bottom part of the sissy bar legs to where the "collar" is - 2 of these, mount the rack and decide on your trunk.

I have used the backrest pad from the sissy bar to provide a backrest for my wife and have no complaints from her plus it matches through to my drivers backrest.

I paid about £50 to get the lugs engineered in stainless steel at a local engineering works, about £45 for the trunk and less than £20 on paint - does the job for me.

I got about $500.00 in this used Harley Tourpack including paint. I used the quick release mounts so it can be removed in seconds.
