Hello Again! I just brought home last night my new RX!. I owned a 2007 R3 Standard and loved it...finances and family constraints forced the sale in 2010.

I looked at and rode new Indian Dark Horse...but when I saw the Rocket X...it was all done for me.

I have to say the improvements since 2007 are significant. Much better suspension and seating position are the 2 that I notice most. The look of the X is what has done it for me however. I test rode a lot of bikes before the purchase...I totally forgot how nimble the Rocket is. It feels like a pit bike at 20 mph and up.

I put 200 miles on immediately after pick up.

One quick question...does anybody know what happened to the Jardine Exhaust System that use to be available for these bikes? I had one on my 2007...loved it...I would look to black one out for the new X.

All I see is "no longer available."

Any one have a used one they wish to sell?

Glad to be back...PS love that 1-3rd gears are no longer cut down 7%!

Welcome back! Those jardines are no longer in production. Used is your only way to go. How did the dark horse ride? It's a beautiful bike. Thinking someday it might make a nice little brother to the rocket

The bike was impressive I must admit. I was most impressed with the build quality. I rode one with Apes. I felt cool on this bike. It cornered really well even with the 8" riser bars. I tranny was a bit crude...down shifting was a chore. The biggest fall off was the power. I rode a Victory Gunner 107...it felt quicker.

The ride quality as far as bump absorption was similar to my new RX.

at $16,995...A solid consideration...they will not deal on price however.

If you're looking for an exhaust option I recently purchased this pipe from Carpenter racing. You could order it unplated then have it powder coated black. It comes with no baffle so I installed a 2 1/2" Kerker comp baffle. It maybe a little loud for your taste so you could install a 2" or smaller baffle. What has impressed me the most about the pipe is not needing heat sheilds due to how the pipes are run foward of the foot controls of the Roadster.

There are a few exhaust options out there now, from the USA, Australia, and New Zealand. You may want to have a bit of a look around before making a decision. With the current exchange rate, the Aussie and Kiwi options are starting to look quite good.

Welcome back, The Carpenter chrome pipes might look nice on the black bike, it certainly would make the stand out ,personal choice I suppose.

I love the headers on the CARPENTER SYSTEM. I would really like to stay 3-2. I might consider the Remus Slip On. They already come in black. Then would want a cross-over "Y" pipe (and eliminate the collection chamber)...don't see those available anymore either.
