Oil leak on the 2020 GT

I have the same leak, no leaks until first service when dealer over filled the oil. I’m going on. 3k mile road trip in two days, does anyone think I shouldn’t? I’m on the fence .Thanks in advance.
Tightened mine a bit past spec about 10,000 miles ago. No issue since. But even if you dont do that fix the minuscule leak you are left with is in my opinion no reason at all not to do your trip.

That is the main reason i did not buy the first model, i will give it a year or 2 to work all the bugs out, then i will save for 25 years to buy one

This is very true. I had my first Rocket in 2007 and I thought all technical issues solved. It was a nice bike after changing or modifying a few things (front brake, seat for two, shock absorbers ...). But when you are nearly 66 years old these days, no time to wait.

Riding a few ten miles a day in the countryside is my medecine, and this R3 2.5 is very efficient for that !

My TFC got copper washer to and leaks to
Ned.

I got my bike back. They replaced the bolt and the washer that's it. But after riding it I noticed it is still leaking a little bit, not enough to drip down the engine, but I can tell it is building up slowly in that area. Now the thing is that pretty soon the weather will be cold and the bike will be sitting there in my garage for months, and I won't be able to tell if something has change.

Don't want to worry you - I too have a GT- but there have been reports of porous casings. Will keep you informed..

I had the same issue...the casing needed to be removed- impregnated with with some epoxy or some other method and returned to the dealer. I was out of commission for 2 months, but after about 2000 miles...the leak issue was resolved.

I heard they fabricate their own metals, anything that is metal on the bike has been done by them, Maybe something went wrong there. I will stay tune, thanks

hmm, I will keep checking on mine. How long do we have warranty for?

I believe the manufacturers warranty is one year from purchase. I am not sure - not in front of the contract right now.

Its a known issue with a subset of 2020 GT's/R's...of those that I have spoken to - its not a leak so much as a small seep. it never dripped onto my garage floor, but collected on the fins of the transmission case...and dripped back to the left side exhaust when I rode it.
