I think mine are aluminum
55000 mile 12 oil changes zero drops of oil,
with those odds i think use the orignalwashers.

You're right. They are aluminum. Penny for your thoughts..... got copper on the brain... pfft

Not quite on topic, but in the 7 or 8 times I've changed the oil on my touring, I've never replaced the washers. I have some new ones, but so far, no leaks whatsoever. Maybe next time. It would be a pain to have to drain all the oil to replace a seeping bolt.

Hat make and grade of fully synthetic oil do you use:
10w40
10w50 or
15w50
We start riding here in the above 10 Celsius in May through low 30s in July and back into 15 September and 10 in October.

no leaks until my local shop replaced the old copper washer with new aluminum. now i'm sad, i'll definitely be doing all my future oil changes.
