October Ride Captains

Yep got a call last night it seems the Chesapeake Bat is getting some good sustained winds and my house down there has sprung a roof leak might be heading south early and riding to Maggie valley via a different route. Will no more today after my buddy take a look and sees if he can do a quick patch for me.
 


Keep me posted if you have to go fix the roof. Might be able to swing by here and have some company for the last leg of the ride.
 
If you see or hear black helicopters, Call Ross Perot. Now the winds are kicking up. Trees going down are now an issue. When the ground they are rooted in ( a thin layer on top of the rock ) is saturated and the wind blows while they still have crowns full of green leaves acting like sails, they come on down. I cut my way off this mountain yesterday and will have to travel with my chainsaw, gas, oil and file for a while. Mountain Life. The mountains give what we need though. Makes gathering firewood easier.

We shall see hopefully I will hear something from the south today. My friend said there was supposed to be a break in the monsoon rain
 
Alrighty then, back to the biz at hand. Ribs are reserved for pick up.
Menu is set.

Baby back Ribs
Baked beans
Hassleback taters
Bread, hot, garlicky.
Cobblers (Peach, cherry, apple) with vanilla ice cream.
We will have plates, paper towels, eating utensils and sauce.
I will probably have some teriyaki chicken on a stick for the kids of the owners.

Y'all are responsible for your drinks.

$10 per person and I'll have extra on hand for hungry boys and girls or,last minute guests.

Me and the wife will be coming up but can't find any rooms so not sure if we will be staying...any suggestions ?
