I have a R3tourer and have been looking for a rev counter ,i have posted about it on here before and the latest surgestion was use a [h=1]Garmin ECO Route HD Nuvi which i have looked at and found will cost about £150 +[/h]I just had the bike MOTed and the guy there said he used a bluetooth OBD2 with a android tablet to check engine info on his racecar. So after some time on ebay i have found that i can get setup for £20 as i have an android phone and 7in tablet .

Now this is not proven yet but just wanted to put it out there so others would know

appreciate the info hyabusa.
Hope it works for you, let us know.
My wife has one of them android phones and all kinds of apps,
that one may actually come in handy.;-)

Be aware that the R3 interface is NOT ODB-II.

The connector is the same - you can get some info out but do not expect full OBD-II data.

Yes, I assumed that when we had to get the special cables to use the TuneECU software...what works/what doesn't will tell whether these apps/hdwe are useful for us.

Intresting just hope they left the RPM in the loop...... any idea what the interface is?
OBD - It meets some of the standards but not all. And not all the PID's are in. But as Ian says some of the basic stuff is.

Can't remember when OBD-2 becomes a requirement on new 2-wheelers - 2014?
