Hey Andy, two more questions:

1) It took me awhile but I think that I found the ball that you say is the B-218-1. I believe it is the B-367 instead. You can see it here: RAM Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Screws

I've ordered one so I'll confirm if it's right.

2) In your 1st pic, there is another chrome screw that looks to be between the gauges. If I might ask, what is mounted to it?

thats just a bracket i made as i had to move the clocks forward because of the handlebar i fitted,the screw you can see is holding the clock (hours/mins) i fitted
