Website is back up - looks like about $250 U.S. with shipping, depending on which cover you choose. Yeah, that's crazy cheap! All I know is that the YSS model came as promised for the advertised price in a box, all accessories, and obviously brand new.

I don't have any relationship with this company other than my purchase, but I would definitely buy from them again. Anyway, I hope I've stumbled on to something that might benefit other members. Use your own good judgement and let us know how it goes if you do decide to order.
 


Its because they give him free shocks.
 
YSS aren't bad, they're a budget company that builds nice stuff out of Asia. The design is way ahead of Progressives in terms of performance. They'll be somewhat similar to Wilbers 640s in performance.

Don't think the standard Hagons are that great @laraza , the Hagon Nitros are completely different beasts but not so sure now that they are better than the YSS s featured . If I were buying again , I would defo go for them having now seen the pictures !

It's just an opinion, but ime there is NOTHING like have the suspension set up for you by somebody who knows. Any "over the counter" system is going to be a "more or less" solution. Nothing wrong with this AT ALL if you intend not to challenge the suspension much.

Over the years I have found that once you have improved things you have a point of reference against the original and know what you really want.
I knew from day 1 I wanted Fournales air shocks on the R3 because I had used them on other bikes with a big heavy bevel box. I would have like matching forks but this was not to be.

Living in the UK - I would simply speak to Maxton. Really. Order - ride up to Cheshire and let them build/fit everything - have a bit of a ride and if it's not right go back. Once done ride home. Stuff like this that may require fettling is best acquired close to home ime.

I have nothing against Wilburs, GAZI, YSS, HAGON (Nitros only) or other stuff. So if you have a specialist close to So'ton that does (say) YSS go for it. I have a really good suspension place here - he had nothing for the R3 but said he'd happily fit and latter fettle the Maxtons. He plumbed the numbers into his own software and modified Maxtons base line into local road conditions. I may back off the rebound a couple of clicks as I am not riding as much motorway at the mo'.

I apologize @laraza - I didn't see the alert that you had asked me a question. The shocks are great (waaaay better than stock) despite the fact that I am ignorant and too lazy (so far) to learn how to adjust them properly. I've pretty much bolted them on and carried on, I'm not proud to say.

I ride to work nearly every day on the bike, unless snowing or icy, about 40 minutes each way, usually taking interstate there and back roads home, so I've already put on plenty of miles to form an opinion.

Definitely a more comfortable ride (my wife noticed too, when I finally got her out the other day) and the bike wallows less in the corners, as well.

If money is an issue, I'd consider YSS if that deal is still going. I'm no authority, but Warp backs them too.
