I was looking forward to it too, but I'll cook up a good dinner for my wife Friday night.. I've been trying to go to New Ulm for wow, about 8 years now, right after I got my Thunderbird Sport, but there's always something.. Maybe next year...
I am still planning on RAA III though! and maybe another RIII gathering or two this summer. I need to get over to Baytown way and see family anyways.
Dave,
i was stunned when i read your post about Dawn having surgery. i'm at a loss for words on this. is every thing is going to be well for her afterwards? my hopes are that she recovers quickly.....
Paul and I will probably get there about the same time. Trying to get a feel for what time everyone is going to get there, so we can plan something for dinner.
rikrok,
i don't know, this will be our first time going to this rally. i'm thinkining all that old stuff should be really neat to look at. should be lot's of euro iron there, not just triumphs. these kinds of gatherings usually have rides planned out.if not, i think paul knows this area pretty well,so maybe we can figure something out.
It should work out okay and she gets a new computer. She has one now that she wears on the outside with a transmitter that tapes to her butt. The new computer they are going to put in is smaller and will all fit inside so she doesn't have to wear anything.. (woo hoo!) Shouldn't be more than an hour in surgery.
Dawn has what is known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. To keep it short, without the spinal cord stimulator, she loses blood circulation from the waist down.. and it spreads (it started with a broken ankle). She was unable to walk for a couple of years, but the spinal cord stimulator tricks her body into allowing blood circulation to the affected areas and she's been back up and running for a couple of years now, even riding her own motorcycle, as long as the stimulator is going.

amazing technology. so,she'll be up and about pretty soon? may be we can hook up for a take-it easy ride when she's ready? just say when. we'll come up and explore a little bit on a sunday soon. mean while take it easy and we'll be sure to take some pictures at new ulm. . give a holler if you need any thing.....
Just got back from Tampa, sorry to hear you wont be joining us and I hope everything goes well in your wifes surgery. Hope she has a speedy recovery and we can plan something soon.

We are looking at about 5 or 6 depending on the route we take. I am going to plan it at lunch so I can give you a better time then but it mainly depends on what time I get out of work.
Hey Paul,
5 or 6 sounds good. i'll catch a short nap when i get there. i'll have been up all night, so a little shut eye will do me good. i'll try to check in about 2 or 3. i plan to leave ingleside about 9 or 10. should be about 3-4 hr. road trip going easy. are you and heather wanting to go eat after you get there? if so, roni and i will wait till y'all check in and get settled. depends on how tired you are. we'll talk when you get there.
