New Touring Owner

You have a point Daryl, interestingly I've noticed it as well but it is usually when I catch up to the vehicle in front of me. I must catch them off guard since I wasn't there a second ago. With the dark aspect and 1st at lights I usually blast away and get in the rocking chair of the traffic pattern as a rule.

It's probably the Paul Stanely "manties", and hair piece.lol

Thank everybody. Daryl, that part of Fla is probably good to ride in. Its flat areound here.

Here is some ground breaking news-- The whole of Florida is Flat in fact it is as flat as Holland. Anyhoo welcome to the forum we have a bunch of Rocket owners in this state from this site and the .com site. Where are you located?

As I recall, the Ocala area has a tad relief from the flatness that is otherwise predominant.
Welcome to the forum Dave.
What do you have in mind in regard to accessories? How do you like the tank speedometer and no tach? I really like the dual and horizontal exhaust set up and the quick release wind screen is the shiznitz.

Yea Ive noticed pople hesitate before they pass either because they think Im a cop or they are just looking at that engine. A guy working at a supermarket in the parking lot said "I dont know much about motorcycles but thats a big engine isnt it?".

Im in Jacksonville. About a month ago rode with a group of ST riders SW of Ocala over to Crystal River to the Ozello Trail. There are actually some curves there.
I want to get the lights first then a whole bunch of other stuff. Id like to hear the TOR mufflers.

I know what you mean about being mistaken for a cop. I wear a white 1/2 helmet with a visor similar to what the police around here wear.

Seems to be working out pretty well!

I don't mind the speedo location on mine but I really miss having a tach. When I ride in a group, especially Harley's, I can't hear my bike at all. I'm not used to how the bike feels for knowing the shift points yet either.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy. I figure a bunch of us will be down Florida way for Bike Week.

I have a yellow rain jacket and white helmet. People slow down.

For bike week I usually go hang out at the speedway for a little while.
I miss the tach during break-in. Dont want to break it in too easy.

I don't really care about not having a tach. I've had mostly Harleys over the years and none of them had a tach.

Welcome FLDave.

I just got my R3T the end of January. What a ride !

I live in Palm Harbor (Tampa Bay). There's a good number of FL Rocket captains ! We should meet up sometime.
