Though this has been discussed previously I'm asking this with the far fetched hope that the 888s are not as wonky as they were then. Cruisetecs seem to be hard to come by and when I get back from my road trip I'll be needing new rubber. I don't want to deal with the rear guard mod for the Exedra right now. I ride twisties to and from work constantly and from what others have reported the 888s don't seem to stick as well as they should. What say you?

I avoid straight roads as much as possible and find the 888s adequate, when it's dry - pegs are touching down regularly.
But in the wet, I think they are horrible. Very little grip & I have almost no confidence in the front.

I'll personally be avoiding the 888s if I can.

Consider the Michelin Road 6 for the front.
If you love twisties, it'll be L-O-V-E!
I've been using these over the last several generations of them on my other bike(s) and yeah, they are fantastic.
I've never mixed tyre types before but if the 888s were the only option again - I'd give this a try for sure
