I'm 6'2", 200lbs with a bad neck. I added floor boards (Triumph, not Rivco) to my Standard along with risers and lower Corbin seat to help with my neck pain. The boards took some getting used to in that my feet can move freely where the pegs kind of "grabbed" your boot heal and positioned your feet for you. The extra freedom of movement is great for repositioning yourself on long rides, but they do make a hell of a racket when they drag the ground in corners
. I wonder if the previous owner has the boards? the entire bar assembly's on both sides of the engine have to be changed out along with a brake line, shifter and brake pedal. It's alot more than just boards to pegs, and isn't cheap.
Does the bike have Rivco handle-bar risers? Since you are tall, they might make an improvement to your comfort. They certainly made a difference for me.
Heated grips are not standard but they should be, I love them. Just in case you didn't know, they have two settings (if they are Triumph parts). Up is high, center is off and down is low.
The cheapest and most bang for your buck performance modification is removing the secondary throttle body butterfly's and adding a GiPro. The secondaries are free and a GiPro is $150. The combo will make quicker throttle response, take control from the computer and give back the 7% programed power reduction in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. You'll be pulling wheelies with the throttle alone! Makes it feel like a different bike.
And you don't have to change anything with the fuel trim, 7% more power where it counts for $150 .... can't beat that!
