Welcome! Where in our long country do you live?
For the mileage, I am not an expert on the electronics of these bikes, but with cars I have known this problem to occur if the instrument cluster is incorrectly replaced, and the new one not coded in with the correct mileage. Don't know if this applies to the R3s
