The adapter catches the frame tube just behind the engine. The other pad on the jack is under the oil pan. The only draw back with these jacks is they are a little tall when collapsed. I run my bike up on a couple of short pieces of 2 x 12 (one under the standard too). Then it works great.
Thanks for the plans, Fred. I too have the jack height issues with my Sears jack. Im wondering if using Flipmeisters paddock lift would offer enough clearance for the jack to fit? Or if it would interfere.
