New Owner questions…

I'm glad you wrote that post. I've done a few things but they all seem like the easiest things on the list of possible things. Motor oil, final drive oil, changed shocks (don't like them and will put the stock ones back on), flashed tune. It gives me more motivation and confidence to try some of the next harder things. Overall I feel like I'm in the same boat as OP FitzAnywhere.

I do have a question that I'd welcome yours or anybody's input on.

A dealer quoted me for throttle body service...and I got sticker shock. Apparently by-the-book service includes removing throttle bodies and replacing seals. I got the feeling the dealer wanted to abide by the book. But I've never seen anybody here talk about doing anything other than cleaning them and check-adjust balance. It just makes me wonder how necessary replacing the seals is at anything under 30,000 or 40,000 miles. Also how much more work would it be?
