Hi,
Riding since 16 in 1995, mainly Vespas and Lambrettas for first 20 years and for the next 20 years it was a stock Yamaha Dragstar XVS650 which I recently converted to a bobber - the first time I rode that after a long weekend on the Rocket III Touring (2009) it felt like I was back on a vespa - so light!
Off for a Euro tour for an old school friend and his Harley Heritage Softail so it was finally a chance to get the bike I first sat on at the UK Bike Show back in 2008.
Big jump from XVS650 I know but I've got 40 years of road sense and I'm old enough to know I've got a couple of thousand miles of learning to ride again before I can start to throw it around corners and I'm more than happy to sit at 65mph watching the world go by for now. The same way my Dragstar was/is a daily ride I expect to put some serious miles on the bike, and get some travelling in as opposed to Sundays in July and August only. That's a lot of cleaning to come I know
Thanks
