I'm picking it up later this week and would like to know if it's going to be a mistake or a blessing. I'm the original owner of a 1983 Honda V-65 Magna which still screams and think will beat or still stay up with this machine. It's lighter and a lot more nimbler then this beast but it's old and uncomfortable like myself on any ride over 100mi.. With todays cost on parts, service and maintenance will I be happy or moaning at the end of the year. The Professor
Hi Professor!. Hard to say as I have never ridden a V65, but I did have an 1800cc marauder. All I can say is that comparing the Rocket to anything else is apples to oranges. It takes all the fun out of riding other machines as, once you Rocket, you can't go back.. (I do still like my ZX14R for the thrills)
I’ve also never rode a Magna so I can’t compare. The low end of the Rocket and its instant big torque I think is unparalleled so it’s ultra fun. When you get you tell us if it’s a mistake. My bet is is not a mistake.
You'll be happy, Ive only had mine 2 weeks and absolutely love it. Even the wife who has no interest in bikes is quite smitten with it, the look like a real work of art and the ride and power is something else. You'll love it
