"New" 2013 R3T-to flash or not to flash?

Agreed-my tolerance is high-the wife not so much!

I will let you know if I do anything but my thoughts are the same as yours right now....But I am a tinkerer by nature and in a seperate thread it was mentioned more than once that the bike runs much cooler with that Tune which has been an issue for us in this North Carolina heat wave!

Well, you could always tell her that you're either going to upgrade the bike or the wife, her choice.

Of course, if she calls your bluff, you're on your own....
Ha-a scary proposition as ugly as I am these days!

He wrote for bone stock or with slip-ons in the post. I've run it a while now on a totally stock bike and it has worked perfectly, and does great things for how the bike performs.

Very good to know-hard to see a reason to NOT run this tune.Seems to be tried and true at this point.More power, bike runs cooler and better gas mileage-where do I sign!

Tors look just like stock cans but have a deeper more melllow tone. Very subtle and she wouldn't knowthe difference LOL.

Honestly, this is the cheapest "tuning" of a bike I've ever heard of. $20 for a cable from http://www.lonelec.co.uk, plug it into a Windows PC, install TuneECU and flash the ECU... boom, 30+ hp, 10+ torque. There are bikes out there that have less than 30hp *in total*. Adding 30hp to a Bonneville requires a Carpenter kit for thousands (granted that almost doubles its power but still).

It totally transforms the bike too. Revving starts to make sense, without the tune you're just wasting your time revving past 4k.

Yup factory tune chokes the $hit out of the bike. Just do it, if I listened to my wife I would not have a bike at all!!

Better to ask for forgiveness then beg for permission!
