I installed the analog clock kit for the R3 today. The directions were great and it installation was easy. I am having a problem setting the clock I followed the directions and nothing happens. I do have power the light works fine on the gauge I s there a battery that keeps time when the bike is off? I am at a loss I hope someone can help....

You set the clock by pushing one of the two little buttons that are on the bottom of the clock next to the clamp that attaches the clock to the handlebars. One button moves the minute hand forward the other moves the hand backwards. As far as I know the clock is always being powered off of the battery, even when the bike is off. Mine keeps excellent time.

Clock installation

Yes I also have the fuel gauge installation was very easy. I have tried pushing the buttons and holding the buttons nothing seens to work.

Sometimes pushing those buttons on the clock do not result in an instantaneous reaction in changing the time. The several times I have had to reset the clock (after connecting, disconnecting and then connecting a GPS unit) have not been easy. Sometimes I could tap the buttons and change it one minute at a time and then sometimes holding the button down would result in a fast twirling of the clock hands..try working with it some more.
Does the clock run at all? If it is not running at all than either the clock is defective or I would check that power lead again.

problem solved

I traced the problem to a fuse. The fuse was labled for the hotgrips that I do not have. But when I replaced the fuse everything worked ok...
