They gave me the Royal treatment with pineapple there once due to me having a lazer pointer in my bag which i'd purchased in Baghdad
 
Don't know about the apparatus but you won't get any liquid through any airport security these days. I had a tube of toothpaste confiscated at Singapore recently.

You won't have to worry about cervical cancer though. If the "thing" looks anything like what @Wrecka posted, you aren't getting anywhere near a cervix.

Hmm, well you did ask and gave the impression you wanted to know about whether you could carry the stupid smoking thing AND the home made liquid. Didn't realise you already knew everything.

Last time I checked on a map, Dubai wasn't in Europe.
Yes, I can see that a home made liquid being carried in a plastic bag with batteries through an airport in the Middle East isn't going to look suspicious at all.

You'll be fine.
