Need help choosing a tire, please.

Nice looking tire but bet you would only get 3-4 thousand miles out of it .

I do not think that it would be a good tire for you. It has little to no wet weather capacity and needs a lot of heat to provide max. grip

Yes a 50 tire will increase rpm.....But I like that about my tire.......A 70 will be like having an overdrive

Just depends on what you like.

Remember...traction...Softest tire you can get....and the best wet weather performance.....In that order

Assurance TripleTred All-Season Goodyear

Is the best tire I have found looking at the tires at tire rack
Click on a tire there and go down to the bottom of the page they rate the tire there so you can see what is best for traction and wet conditions .

Thank you the size I desired was the reason I couldn't find a tire. The sizes you and others suggested offer more choices. Found the triple tred too late already ordered the BF Goodrich Comp 2.

Thanks to everyone for your DS tire recommendations. I already knew the brands Darksiders are using and the type of tire to look for. You helped me realize it was the size I so hard set on using that was the problem. (225/60 =slim pickings) Going with the 225/55.

I'd be surprised if there are any high performance 225/60 tyres available. 225/55 will give you a lot of options.Get a high performance summer tyre if you can, but be aware that they will lose a lot of traction at or around freezing conditions. If you are riding in those conditions then get a high performance 4 season tyre. You should also have a tread pattern that is symmetrical about the centre line of the tyre.

Tyre sizes that I have used include 205/55, 215/55, 225,55, and 245/50. The 225/55 is my preferred size.

You are right about the 225/60, that's what was causing me difficulty. I'm running a 240/55 MC tire currently. I'm trying to maintain the same or slightly higher circumference/height as what I have now. Don't want to increase rpm at cruising or decrease fuel mileage. I don't know if the difference of significant out not.
