2008 Rocket III Classic
Hey guys and gals, I crashed my 2008 R3 Classic back in November and am trying to scrounge up parts to get her back on the road now that my three broken ribs, punctured lung, and three fractured vertebrae have healed up. I bought a used 2011 Moto Guzzi Norge to ride while I'm sourcing parts and repairing the R3, but I'm really missing my British iron. If anyone has any of the following items they want to part with please give me a shout:

Handlebar - I'm not picky, can use the standard, Roadster, or classic ones. Hell, I'll even take a Valkyrie bar if that's all I can get used.

Clutch and brake lever - standard, Roadster, or Classic will work
Throttle assembly - - standard, Roadster, or Classic will work
Speedometer- standard, Roadster, or Classic will work
Tachometer- standard, Roadster, or Classic will work
Windscreen - preferably the summer model, but I'll consider anything that fits. Don't need the brackets, just the screen.

A note on the instrument cluster - I wouldn't mind going with a non OEM digital cluster if anyone has suggestions on something compatible that costs less than the OEM cluster set.

TF glad you have heeled up. I hope all is well now. I have a set of Classic Bars. Never installed. Got them from a Triumph dealer who had them hanging on the wall for about 5 years.

Bill.

Start with ebay - should be able to find everything cheap from wreckers or used from owners etc. There are 36,000 listings here just do searches for 'Rocket then part name" and try different versions such as lever, handle, cluster, instrument, pod, speedo, tacho, etc. doesn't take long to get a good list of options. to save time once you have found a part do a search of just that listers 'other items for sale' and you can probably find other bits you need and combine postage.

Triumph Rocket III | eBay

Eg. A Colarado USA wrecker with lots of Rocket 3 bits and pieces
imperialsportbikes2 | eBay

Instruments probably hardest and most expensive

Cheap options, you will need to confirm their claims that they fit R3s:

Motorcycle Odometer Speedometer Tachometer Speedo Meter for Suzuki Harley Honda | eBay

Motorcycle Odometer Speedometer Tachometer Speedo Meter LED For Honda Cafe Racer | eBay

- these aftermarket ones are probably a lot cheaper to source in the US but these are the models and details of a few options:

Acewell 2853 Digital Speedometer with Chrome fascia ring. Ideal for Cruisers and Customs - Triumph Performance Parts Australia

Acewell's are good. Suzuki Intruder riders use them when the factory gauge goes belly up. Some models allow you preset your bike's mileage, which you must do within so many miles of first power up, or it locks into whatever it has on it when it locks.

Roadster gauges won't work on anything else as they are a canbus system - apparently

I have the original bars i traded out with the classic more pulled back bars sitting around

Over on the dotcom site - I remember Wayne Tripp published the wiring crossover required to fit KOSO allinone clusters. Maybe somebody can chase it down. I may have it somewhere - as I did toy with fitting a KOSO RX2N.

But Dakota Digital have been mounted and MotoGadget have Triumph breakout boxes.
