Name That Connector

Looking for help identifying this connector. It is the T connector on the heated grip sub-harness for the R3T. This is the connector the grip leads plug into. After all the talk about the weakness of the wire in the heated grips, I am looking at installing a different heated element set under the grips and plugging into the OEM sub-harness. However, I am having trouble identifying the brand of this particular T connector. It is smaller than all the ones that come up on a standard google search.

What is the creamy looking stuff inside?

The wiring issue was addressed by some members by reinforcing the weak breaking point at the end of the handgrip. If they get twisted and presumably the heated pad on the bar doesn't move in sympathy they weaken and snap . Some insist that correctly fitted with grip glue or whatever that they do not move and are unbroken after many years service.

I am pretty sure some have come up with effective fixes without rewiring.

A further search will find more I am sure, as you already appear to have done some research on the topic.

But @DEcosse will know for sure and I think he may even have posted on the same question before.

As far as I remember it is a Hella Part Number.

But probably easier just to pop the 100% bog standard FastOn connectors out of the plastic and pop them into a more standard plastic part.

That creamy stuff is the water proofing gunk the connectors come with from the factory. Besides the weak wires, which may not be an issue, I want to use a different set of aftermarket grips. So blending the best of both. I’ll check out the Hella parts list.
