Ok so here goes; purchased a
2013 Rocket 3 Roadster (Lilith) the beginning of Feb this year. Had the remap done, K&N under the seat and TORS exhaust, nothing more. I'm just about at 10,000 miles and now ready for service. Since I got her I've been through a set of tires front and rear and some rear brake pads. Front pads are at about 50% so I'll keep them on and watch them for a bit. I had an issue with the clutch which was slipping in 5th gear at about 5,000 miles which I initially paid for out of pocket. Per the dealer there was an issue with freeplay as I had risers put on the bike. Told the dealer I had no problem with paying, as the clutch was a wear item, as long as the problem was corrected. It was, and no problems since. The dealer advised me he would take up the issue with Triumph who eventually refunded me my money. In the words of Gomer Pyle... Surprise, surprise surprise...
I've taken her through every type of riding this area offers; Canyon carving, numerous peaks and passes at over 10,000 ft, dirt roads (by accident)
,rush hour traffic at 90+ degrees numerous times and she performed like a champ. Even had a couple thousand mile weekends, no issues. I've only taken her up to 130 mph and ran out of road, there was still more in the throttle. She likes to run 85 mph, problem is that 85 mph feels like 55 and that can be a recipe for trouble, fortunately no legal issues. To say that I was pleased with the bike would be an understatement. It rivals my old Valkyrie in reliability. (So far). My old Harley RoadKing does not compare. Sad but true. The bike has done everything I asked it to do and more. I still have that stupid grin on my face everytime I ride and think it may eventually become permanent. So with that said I hope this helps anyone who may be on the fence. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Future plans for the bike will be a little custom paint. If these tires do well I will get them again. Bridgestones front and back right now. If not I 'm sure if I will be tempted by the force of the dark side. That's a maybe. Triple K&N's under the bearclaw is a pretty good possibility too.
Safe riding and cheers to all you who speak that strange type of English
