2013 Rocket 3 Touring
Owned a 2005 standard but it slid down the highway and was totaled after hitting a deer. After that I bought a Suzuki C109rt nice bike classic Harley looks but with a very good engine. Took a 1700 mile trip on it this summer but I nicknamed it the "pig". Same 150front and 240 back as the rocket but it held its weight lower. Found a fjr , a bike that I had my eye on for a long time, the wife had her hackles up years ago when I was going to buy one because it looks like a ****** rocket with bags. I love this fjr afer the test ride I swore I will never own a cruiser again, fast, stops now! and turns, I can corner like I never thought on the bigger bikes. Only problem is I am having trouble keeping the speed down. 6.6 gal tank is reeaally nice! Loved the 6.3 on the rocket. What is up the the small tanks on a lot of bikes these days? The gas cap is like the rocket, don't like the ones you have to take off and sit somewhere else while fueling. Never want a cruiser again except a rocket, was looking at old pics of my rocket and Dammn that was a great bike, that stupid deer. If I ever own a cruiser again it will be a Rocket, hopefully they will keep producing gen3,4,5. I love my fjr but no cruisers have me like the Rocket.

It was a Triumph rocket 3 and I loved that bike. My current bike is awesome I love riding but that new roadster the flat black with the white stripes, wow!

FJR is a great tourer. Very few problems and comfortable.

Excellent choice. A real mile eating machine. If you notice below, 5 of the top 10 finishers in this year's Iron Butt Rally are on the FJR.

While technically true, note that 5 of the top 6 finishers are on FJRs. I have owned two of them and both were great bikes. The FJR community does include a heck of a lot of long distance riders.

OK, we HAVE to have someone in this group that can compete with these guys.

The 2013 FJR is a big improvement on earlier versions and they were all very good bikes. I've now owned 4 over the last 10 years. Possibly the best sports tourer ever.

However nothing compares with the astounding torque of the Rocket.
