I'm trying some matte black from lowe's to cover the bear claw and radiator grill but when that fails me maybe your painter could find a spot on his calander for me.
I will ask him next time I see him... they use regular base and clear coat, but then they add an additive to the clear that turns it flat and hardens the crap out of it...
This is what I used, this is their site but if you look up the make and model online you will find auto parts stores that have them.

Then I am getting these as replacement filters, a bit taller and better airflow. This will require that the threaded shaft inside the housing get extended to keep the top cover in place. http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=E-4310
I also shaved the bottom bracket on the one going on cyl3 right where it touches the throttle body shaft housing to help clear the bear claw and from cutting it up to much.
The airtemp sensor is mounted to a hole I drilled in the top cover of cyl1 with the use of a rubber elbow piece I picked up at the auto store. Also the inside diameter of the filter assembly where it mates with the outside diameter of the throttle bodies are slightly larger, I used 3m double sided tape meant for outside use to create an airtight seal before tightening the provided set screw to secure each assembly.
