I would like a little more sound other than stock exhaust. Dealer says with a slip on I have to use a power commander or simular? Never did on any other bike I've owned. True or not? The only time I've done anything of the sort was when I did exhaust with a air cleaner change, not just mufflers.

The only reason I ask is never had to on any previous bikes, only if there was an air change along with the mufflers. Thanks for the reply.

You CAN just put on , say, TORS for better sound, & get the dealer to put in a Triumph tune. But as IDK says, it won't be the BEST performance you can have, you need some tuning. TUNEECU or tuneboy are GREAT tools to have anyway, for resetting the TPS, balancing throttles, clearing error codes & stuff, not just for tuning!!. There are plenty of examples of tunes out there for a simple slip on pipe mod, so DON'T PANIC!!! it can be done easily:D
