Mounting / dismounting

Nope - now I just look like an overweight Orangutan trying to do a John Cleese impression!

Oh sh*t Jagster. Razman called you an Overweight Monkey. You going to take that? Drive over to his house, take his lunch money and trade insults with him after school under the bleachers on the lower field. If smoke breaks are warranted then take them. Absolutely NO Mum insults allowed! Happy fathers day everyone.

......I will take it on the chin.....In any case, my father taught me to never talk back to my elders...

...cowboy mount for me!..left foot on the footrest and over...on both the GT and the tiger...just hope those pegs are strong!
I trust the foot pegs. It's the kick stand I don't trust. If the kickstand breaks on the newer Rockets you are in a world of trouble.

Exactly!!...i hopped on the bathroom scales the other day with my gear on and i was 125kg..(275.5 lbs)...i know the side stand does flex when getting on so what sort of weight are they good for i wonder?...

OK, here's how I do it, and I too am rapidly approaching 70!!
Stand on the right side facing slightly forward, straighten the bars and hold the right grip in right hand. Now bend left leg back and grab the ankle in left hand and lift your foot up above your knee. Then twist forward and lean in towards the bike until your left knee touches the seat and can be slid across the seat. Keep holding your left ankle and lifting until your foot has cleared the sissy bar, release ankle and your there!
Works every time for me and I don't look like a *****(at least I don't think I do )
