Motorcycle Trailer

A woman at work saw a bike with a trailer and asked me why it doesn't tip over when the bike leans. I didn't know but imagined there must be some flexibility in the connection.

You guys should know me by now. I always have the techinically correct verbage, well, 90 percent of the time.

If I was going that route (I'm not)(I'm not a trailer person unless it's a gooseneck), I'd have a vertical heat treated pin with the heim joint slipped over that and secured with a spring loaded lynch pin. One thing about a quality heim joint is the inherent dampening from the resistance of the insert to the housing. Similar to a sway bar on a travel trailer.

Your shift linkage on the R3 with floorboards is a specific use heim joint.
