Memphis Sahdes has come out with a batwing HD FL style fairing, its looks very nice and is priced well below the Corbin offering. Im wondering is anyone else has seen it? I wonder what the chances that it will be offered for the R3T
Buy a mounting kit and put it on.
If a stock mounting kit don't do it for you, try a handlebar mount from national cycle.
I thought it'd be cooler than that,
just looks kinda harleyish..One headlight and all.
Now if they made one with TWO headlights, that'd be cool.
Kinda like a road glide but not butt ugly..
Ya, but the R3T is still a Triumph at heart.
A little TLC (and tuneboy) and you'd never know it wasn't a "real Rocket" unless you looked at that single headlight.
I had to make up brackets since the ones it comes with, even on the one I am using was not meant for the R3 forks. The R3 forks are about 1.75 inches further apart than a HD and even if you get the VTX mounting hardware it is too small, by about .25 inches.
It also makes a diference if the forks have chrome covers over them or not, on the R3T the original shield brackets protrude past the chrome covers so it was not to big a deal.
Now I have a batwing that comes of in under 3 minutes. Using this fairing
National Cycle has a 1 inch mount.
It's the one I'm using to mount a road glide fairing.
Don't know if it'll help in your quest, but it works for me.
It was about $33.00.
Head, it appears that you used the Memphis mounting brackets for the VTX is that correct? If so, which VTX was it for and did you have to make any mods to the brackets?
